June's mixtape is a best sizzler, with some moaning emo, indie up-and-comers, a cover, and a new band fronted by Trent Reznor.Here at McCrank's Juke, we like to spend hours coming the web, listening to tunes while we waste away, and find the best of the best to represent the latest popping bands and cool summer sounds for all 6 of my following fans. Yes, I avoid traffic - as the music is where it's at, not the recognition. Underground is underground. I will leave the high-jinx to sites like Stereogum, and Gorilla vs. Bear - who do it all better anyways (corporate sponsorship?). Sure they may have multiple bloggers ante-ing up on their posts and yes maybe a flow of affiliate cash, but here at McCrank's Juke we have 80's alternative, hard-to-find, and the best steaming pile of old vinyl you can ask for. From new indie sensation and current Oasis-stealer, Fye Dangerfield to a frest theme with songs by The Cure, The Forest & The Trees, and Dark Dark Dark. The set is one parts KSCU 103.3 and equal parts 80's vintage. Live shows are piling up and the indie wonders keep materializing.
